Jam
A downloadable game for Windows
[Sound Required]
About Jam
This is a music game and a game about understanding music.
Try to play the game with your ears instead of eyes, just like how musicians play with music.
The goal of the game:
Understand the music, figure out what makes a piece of music sound great or weird, and jam on it.
Most importantly: enjoy the music, and enjoy playing on it.
Controls:
Mouse Movement Only
Press 【R】to restart
Some tips:
- listen before playing
- be precise when controlling the pick
- be bold, swipe hard when trying to play distorted sounds
- hold the mouse tightly, sometimes I thought the mouse would go top but it goes towards a slightly different direction, causing unexpected sounds to be played
- music is about freedom, you define this piece of music as a musician

As a guitarist who used to play in a band, I love love LOVE the concept behind this game. I had a bit of trouble discerning the correlation between the mouse gestures I was making and exactly what sounds would get played; there were some consistencies, but I didn't feel like I knew exactly how to play certain riffs quite when I wanted. Still, when things worked out and I was harmonizing well with the music, oh man, it was awesome!
Looking forward to seeing more music games, I really love when a game forces the player to think differently -- in this case, with their ears!
Thanks for the feedback, more music games coming up this year!
